Due to the liquid's improved thermal conductivity, immersion enables ASIC miners to overlock to provide a greater overall hashrate while keeping chips at a stable temperature. As fans use energy that would otherwise be used to create hashes in an air-cooled system, removing them increases energy efficiency as well.

An ASIC's lifespan is increased because, with the right configuration, the coolant enables machines to hash at an ideal temperature with little variation. In addition, air particles may accumulate on the chips in an air-cooled system, lowering machine performance over time. As the hashboards are not exposed to the outside air, an immersion system eliminates this concern.
